Helping you maximize your Healthcare IT investments and modernize your practice with systems that are efficient and scalable
We know that in today’s rapidly changing landscape, exceptional healthcare does not depend on clinicians alone. The success of healthcare institutions is dependent on functional, dependable technology to meet patients’ needs and keep processes running smoothly. As a specialty Healthcare IT firm with 16 years of industry experience, Kai Marie Group can help healthcare institutions of all sizes through our custom designed solutions. We are vendor agnostic, so we are able to help you realize your existing technological investments in the most cost-effective way.
Patient Registration
The creation of a medical record through the input and validation of correct patient data is crucial to a successful patient encounter. Accuracy during the registration process affects the entire patient encounter, both clinically and financially.
Clinical Care
Successful patient outcomes largely depend on accurate documentation of the clinical services rendered and diagnoses given. User friendly documentation encourages proper and accurate documentation. Accurate documentation and diagnoses also directly impact reimbursement.
Discharge
A successful discharge process is vital to ensuring continuity of care and reducing readmission rates. With detailed after care instructions and follow-up information, patients will be less likely to be readmitted. Follow-up with patients post discharge not only keeps patients more apt to be compliant, but also provides good customer service.
Regulatory Initiatives
It is vital that an EHR meets and adheres to regulatory initiatives such as HIPAA, Meaningful Use and CMS Interoperability.
Billing
Reducing errors and ensuring accuracy in the billing process can greatly lower unnecessary costs and improve patient satisfaction. Systems that aid in accurate coding, including modifiers such as AUC, are vital in getting accurate bills out the door and reducing denials.
Interoperability
Now more than ever, it is crucial for providers to be able to share patient data. Complex health cases often require a team of physicians, and outcomes depend on their ability to share documentation. Informed decision making is only possible when providers have access to the full patient record. Along with the ability to share information amongst physicians, it is also important to send orders to outside labs, radiology locations and required health department reporting. This would include the following, but not limited to: ePrescribe, required health department reporting, federal regulatory reporting, and population health initiatives.
Our Proven Process
Our goal as your Healthcare IT consultants is to design and implement an effective solution that and ensure that it is adopted across your organization, maximizing your investment. We do that through our strategic engagement workflow, starting with assessing your needs and following through all the way to monitoring our solution for optimization.
ENGAGEMENT WORKFLOW
We work with our clients in understanding and documenting current workflows and the pieces of those workflows that work well with the chosen EHR and those that don't. Also, together, we will complete data collection worksheets for each solution of the EHR in preparation for the design phase. Our mission during the discovery process is to establish a working relationship that will in the end, produce the greatest outcome.
Once we thoroughly understand the needs of your organization, we will work with designated subject matter experts and necessary staff to review the current workflows and issues outlined in the discovery phase and perform a gap analysis. We will also meet with physicians and other clinicians to address their specific needs. This will help us and your organization design a viable solution that will help us achieve the desired outcome.
Once we have met to understand current workflows and issues, we will create future state workflows and begin to configure a solution that has been customized to fit the needs of your organization. During this phase, we will be in constant communication with your staff to answer questions and ensure we are implementing according to the design phase.
Once the solution has been configured to the needs of your organization, we will have a number of testing events. The testing events will include individual solution testing events, entire system events, including interfaces and testing of any hardware, such as printers, scanners, barcode readers, etc. During these testing events we will work side by side with your subject matter experts, physicians and a variety of staff to ensure that the solution in fact addresses all areas of concern.
We at KaiMarie believe that Excellent and in depth training is vital in end user adoption of the final product. Without adoption, staff will be less likely to use the system as intended. We will ensure the appropriate people at your organization are thoroughly trained on the solution so that it is adopted and utilized to its full potential.
This phase signifies the launch of your newly developed solution. At Kai Marie Group, we ensure a smooth transition by being on-site or readily available to address issues and answer questions. Our priority during "Go-Live" is to minimize disruptions, support users, and guarantee the system operates as designed. With our hands-on support, your team will be equipped to use the system effectively from day one.
Once the solution is implemented, we will set a time period, agreed upon between KaiMarie and your organization to re-engage and determine where there are opportunities for optimization. We are here to be invested in your success.
